Cirques des Arts: An Outrageous Celebration!

CAPA's annual fundraising event is slated this summer for June 21st and promises to be an evening you won't want to miss! A first for Talbot County, Cirque des Arts will take place at the old ribbon factory on the St. Michaels
Road, which will be transformed into a mystical realm.

"We have had great success recently with our Copa Cabana party, but I want this year to be the best party we've ever given!" said Chairperson Jean Rothert. "We have put together an outstanding gala committee, and they have created a fabulous event.

Not unlike Cirque de Soleil, we will have live music and professional entertainers, strolling performers and aerialists. Throughout the evening you will be able to stroll among the madness and interact, or find a cozy corner to enjoy delicacies from several stations offering exciting cuisine from Talbot County's finest eateries. Hair 'O The Dog will provide libations.

"We promise you an evening you and your friends will always remember! But we don't want to give out all our secrets!" said CAPA vice-president, Gail Jones. "But I can tell you Eden Events and Hugh Gallagher are on board to do their decorating magic. That alone is worth the price of admission!"

Gala committee members for 2008 include: Mary Detzer, Fran Every, Stephanie Handy, Gail Jones, Frances Maffit, Wuzzy Miller, Martha Moran, Judy Munn, JoAnn O'Reilly, Norma Redele, Carol Rolle, Connie Shearer, Pamela Toll, Mary VanDervort and Marie White.

Proceeds from Cirque des Arts will fund CAPA's performing arts and educational activities, including providing scholarships for kids in need to attend CAPA's SummerFame, now in its eighth year. Tickets are on sale now. This is sure to be a sell out so make your reservations today!
